9-25-81 was one of the very first tapes I ever had--a freakin' Ampex!--and I held onto it until it was coughing up blood and just couldn't go on any more...

The second set of that show still blows my mind and despite Jerry's brain-farting the first verse of Fire, it has one of my top 3 Scarlet>Fires of all time. The landing from Scarlet into fire still gives me the goose bumps.

Yeah, this show overall blew the doors of the newly opened Stabler Arena. There was some sound problems early on in the first set, but there were eventually rectified and the boys played a fine show; and I agree with your assessment of the Scarlet>Fire transition...very well done.
